out of four competition dance routines: kick, military and dance.

Studio C and Dance Unlimited had guest performances by teens in between the Eagle dances. Near the end of the show, a very special performance was done by Eagle High boys. The dance team split into junior and seniors and freshman and sophomores for a final performance competing against each other. The juniors and senior girls had to pick one boy from their grade to dance with them. The dance was to “Jingle Bell Rock”, and the partners were swing dancing.

“I was a little nervous at first to perform in front of a lot of people, but it turned out to be really fun,” said junior Carson Bowers.

The freshman and sophomore’s performance was a group act. Instead of each girl choosing one boy, the performance was just the boys dancing to “The Little Drummer Boy”. Their dance was 30 seconds long and they put on an amazing performance. The crowd went wild after.

“I am so glad I got to be in the dance because it was something I’ve never done before and it was very fun,” said sophomore Jace Dahlgren.

The juniors and seniors won the competition judged by members of student council. The crowd loved these performances. The team raised more than $8,000 to help fund their Nationals trip. In the past month, the dance team had their first dance competition at Mountain View High on Jan. 18 and will continue to push until their next competitions leading up to state, then Nationals.
