As winter approaches, people all over are bringing out their Christmas spirit, whether it’s putting up a Christmas tree, listening to holiday music or brainstorming gift ideas. To bring some holiday spirit into Eagle High, students have shared the best and worst Christmas gifts they have received in the past.
To start off, sophomore Ashton Eddins said that the best Christmas gift he has ever gotten was a computer.
“If you are bored, you can always go on it and play games or if you are grounded it’s something to do,” Eddins said. He then said the worst gift he had gotten for Christmas was socks.
“You are supposed to get stuff cooler than socks for Christmas,” Eddins said.
Next, sophomore Cole Weber said that the best Christmas gift he received was an Xbox.
“Because they are super fun, and I can talk to my friends and play games together,” Weber said. Similar to Eddins, the worst gift Weber has received was socks. He said they are boring, and he already has lots of socks.
Sophomore Wilder Orm said that his best gift was a trip to Disneyland. He said it was his favorite gift because it was fun, and he got to hang out with his dad.
“The worst gift I have gotten was probably like a fidget spinner,” said Orm. “It was fun for like five minutes, but it got boring and then I never used it again.”
To continue, sophomore Ariella Legatt said that her best gift was a dog because it was her best friend. Legatt then said that her worst gift was cookies.
“I can’t eat cookies because I am allergic to gluten, and so, the present was a little disappointing, I ended up giving them to my dad,” Legatt said.
Socks, fidget spinners and apparently cookies are not what teenagers want for Christmas this year. Although students shared what the worst gift they had gotten was, they still were very grateful to whoever gave it to them. Many are excited to see what gifts they will get this year.
