Thanksgiving is a holiday full of delicious foods that many people enjoy; turkey, mac and cheese, stuffing and cranberry sauce. As Thanksgiving break is coming up, students are getting excited to dine in on their favorite meal. While there is a wide variety of foods to eat on this holiday, students have debated which dish is the best.
Sophomore Noah Brock shares that his favorite Thanksgiving food is creamy mashed potatoes that his mom makes. Brock also shared what his least favorite Thanksgiving food is.
“Sweet potatoes are the worst food, they taste like orange baby food,” Brock said. Brock spends Thanksgiving at his house where his whole family eats.
Next, sophomore Brayden Peterson shares his favorite Thanksgiving food.
“My grandma’s pumpkin pie definitely the best Thanksgiving food,” Peterson said. Peterson eats Thanksgiving dinner at his grandma’s house where all his cousins and aunts go to celebrate. He believes that green beans are the worst Thanksgiving food. He thinks they are soggy, wet and mushy.
Another student, sophomore Savannah Lofthus, said that bread rolls are the best Thanksgiving food.
“They are so buttery and sweet. My mom makes them so yummy,” Lofthus said, “But stuffing is the worst. It tastes bland, has a weird texture and is just overall bad.” Sophomore Ellie Davis agrees with Loftus that bread rolls are the best.
“Rolls with cinnamon butter and cranberry sauce, so good,” Davis said.
Davis’s least favorite Thanksgiving dish is also stuffing, she thinks the texture is weird. She spends her Thanksgiving at her house, or she and her family go to California and get Brazilian food.
Overall, there are so many different foods and dishes for Thanksgiving: pie, ham, mashed potatoes and more. All families have their favorite Thanksgiving food that they can’t wait to dish up this Thanksgiving.
