The Super Bowl Halftime Show took place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The headliner of the performance was the famous singer, Usher.  He played multiple songs including some of his most popular like “Turn Down for What” and “Yeah”.

Many fans wanted Taylor Swift to perform, but she opted to decline. Some were surprised about the selection of Usher. The eight-time grammy winner has gone on record calling Las Vegas his new home. He also referred to the halftime show as an honor of a lifetime.

According to msn.com, He’s hoping to create some more magic in Vegas, something that leaves a lasting impression on fans like past shows by Prince, Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira and Beyoncé, among others, did on him.”

Usher’s goal was to make history with this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. He wanted people to talk about it for years to come. It has been made clear that he plans to raise the bar for what is expected from the halftime show.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing what he does during the show. I didn’t expect Usher but I believe he will do a good job,” said sophomore Austin Hartnett.

Although fans believed it wasn’t the best halftime show, many enjoyed watching and listening to Usher’s music. He was joined by many other artists. This included Alicia Keys, Ludacris Lil Jon, Will.i.am, and H.E.R. This year also included lots of special effects.
